Rod Hanchard-Goodwin, the photographer and digital artist behind Blue Fin Art, has been selling his unique photographic canvas art online and through galleries for just over a year.
Based in East Lothian, Rod takes photos of landscapes throughout Scotland, and then creates a more impressionistic image using digital brushing and warping techniques. "I use the mouse a bit like a paintbrush to enhance the image, and I can intensify or dampen down the colours and features as well", he says.
The resulting artwork is printed onto high quality coated canvas. Pieces are limited edition, and are available in various sizes. Rod's work can often be mistaken for painting, but it's a much more affordable option for house buyers and businesses looking for something contemporary and meaningful to decorate their homes with.
Additionally, Rod takes commissions for one-off pieces, and can also apply his techniques to digital photos supplied by his clients.
