Paul Reeves
Paul has worked as an Artist/Animator in the video games industry for about 15 years, and has moved around a few different companies in that time working on many different titles, some being quite well known. I’ve also created computer generated graphics for television and film and written a lot of tutorials for video gaming, model making, texturing, animating etc. I continue to create digital tutorials for new techniques I've developed.
Paul paints mainly with oils on canvas these days, and enjoy the feel that oil has. He uses many different methods and tools to move the oil around the canvas, brushes, cloth, even my own hands.
"I love to paint whatever my mind can dream up, and many different things inspire my ideas and paintings. Music, weather, sport, poetry, and even conversation with friends, all spark ideas. I have painted and drawn many Scottish themed subjects, including many scenes from Robert Burns poetry. The work of Robert Burns is wild and fiercely imaginative.
I have no idea where my journey in art will take me, but at least I will be able to say that I gave myself the opportunity to fail, rather than saying, I just didn't bother trying."
